PwC Belgium has appointed Xavier Verhaeghe as its new Head of Technology Consulting.

In line with the company's desire to invest in the area of technological consulting in the digital age, PwC Belgium has appointed 49-year-old Belgian Xavier Verhaeghe as Associate in charge of Technology Consulting from 1 March 2019.

Xavier Verhaeghe has 26 years of experience in digital and data-driven innovation, cloud transformation, emerging technologies, business applications, data analysis, artificial intelligence, machine language, data lakes, information security and CIO advisory services.

François Jaucot, Partner and Consulting Leader at PwC Belgium, commented on this appointment: "Our approach to digital transformation is global. [...] Thanks to his solid experience in developing Oracle's growth as Vice President Technology Solutions for Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Country Leader BeLux, Xavier Verhaeghe is perfectly able to lead our Technology Consulting teams as part of this transversal approach to support the digital transformation of our customers."

Indeed, Xavier Verhaeghe has two decades of experience at Oracle and six years at Accenture, so he has a keen understanding of business needs. He has commented: "The pace at which things are evolving and the vast array of emerging technologies that exist today represent a great opportunity and a huge challenge for businesses, if only in terms of prioritising. Our mission is to help them think about the future of their business model, to identify opportunities, to appreciate the options available to them, to assess the amount of investment required and to turn that collaboration into concrete achievements".

Xavier Verhaeghe, who is married and has two children, holds a Master's degree in Management Science and an MBA (Solvay Business School, Brussels) and also studied at the University of Chicago and the London Business School.
