Traditionally in September, EY Luxembourg announces the recruitment and integration of new professionals; on 15 September this year, young graduates, as well as experienced professionals, totaling 180 people, coming from a multitude of cultural and educational backgrounds and from many of the best universities, joined the new premises of EY Luxembourg.
The best talent for a dynamic ecosystem in Luxembourg
“We are very proud that these 180 professionals have decided to join EY Luxembourg, which is evidence of the strong growth of our activities and our continuous commitment to maintaining a high level of recruitment and in particular in our advisory, tax and assurance sectors. Furthermore, we are confident in the potential of the Luxembourg economy. Our ambition is to participate actively in the development of the economy as we will continue to attract and retain the most talented professionals to deliver the best service to our clients, which have varied needs, wherever they are located. At EY, we are dedicated to helping companies and institutions grow on a daily basis, regardless of their stage of development, from the young entrepreneur to the multinational, who are active in all economic sectors, from the commercial, industrial and financial sector to the public sector”, said Alain Kinsch, Country Managing Partner of EY Luxembourg.
Olivier Lemaire, People Leader of EY Luxembourg added “beyond the strong reputation built by EY in the assurance and advisory services, we are naturally committed to serving alongside entrepreneurs to help them meet their daily challenges and turn their businesses into successful companies. Our Entrepreneur of the Year program, which rewards exceptional entrepreneurship stories, launched in Luxembourg 10 years ago, is a good example of the EY promise. Supporting the efforts of the Luxembourg Government in the areas of new technologies, we guide and support our clients actively so that they can evolve in the digital era with great serenity. We have developed a true excellence center in this area which is crucial as we aspire to advise businesses of all sectors of activity in their digital transformation. Our Fintech initiatives also perfectly fit into the Start Up Nation strategy in Luxembourg. Innovation and performance are part of our guiding principles, as testified by the EYnovation program aimed at supporting start-ups in their growth plans from both a technical and commercial or a strategical point of view. More particularly, the EYnovation program identifies and assists the flagship businesses of tomorrow and is one of the cornerstones of our commitment to support our local community while being part of our corporate responsibility strategy at the same time. Here is exactly how Building a Better Working World becomes reality at EY, as it also stimulates the entrepreneurial spirit and innovation among our people and within our company.”
Welcome to the “Workplace of the Future
“We are very proud to welcome these 180 professionals to our new premises and particular attention will be focused on their well-being. Our purpose of Building a Better Working World is indeed all about the environment EY wants to offer to its people, its clients and the community in which we operate and is perfectly aligned with our people culture”, said Alain Kinsch.
“Our state-of-the-art working floors are set up with high-quality infrastructure and materials which are not only pleasing to the eyes but also achieve an environmentally-friendly function. Moreover, another major innovation is our new working space organization which ensures optimal synergy and cohesion. As our open architecture is inspired by the search for optimal team work, our Workplace of the Future is also all about combining talent, mixing sectors of activity and industries and offering unlimited opportunities for sharing knowledge and experience, including interaction with the partners in the company, probably here more than elsewhere. Even more important at EY is to offer a stimulating environment where all our people feel valued and where they contribute their personal best and can realiee their potential in every encounter to finally deliver exceptional services to our clients”, said Alain Kinsch.
Work and reward
“While excellence and rigor are the fundamental qualities of our people, we aspire to differentiate ourselves through our performance-driven culture and our entrepreneurial spirit. As meritocracy is consistent with our people culture, it is essential for us to facilitate the career progression of our people and help them improve their technical and human skills. Therefore, they will have access to the most comprehensive training programmes and information tools that will ultimately benefit our clients. When new professionals join our firm, they become immersed in our state-of-the-art culture which is focused on exceptional client service. This concept perfectly reflects how we are and is a cornerstone of our identity. Not surprising that whenever a professional joins EY, however long he or she stays, the exceptional EY experience lasts a lifetime”, said Alain Kinsch.
Mobility, diversity, people respect
“The integration of our new professionals on 15 September and all year long is evidence of our commitment to maintain a variety of skills, backgrounds and sectors within EY. Digitalisation among our sectors of activity and clients affects how we recruit our people. Such diversity demonstrates the importance we place on cultural variety. In the same way, this diversity guides all our initiatives and our human resources policy. As our professionals bring their diversity and talent to work every day, it enables us to provide our clients with plural and complementary views on their business issues and innovative solutions to meet their challenges of tomorrow”, added Olivier Lemaire.
“At EY, we also focus our efforts on paying particular attention to gender diversity, including at the recruitment stage. Furthermore, we are committed to ensuring a balance in terms of career advancement, regardless of the profiles, including gender, the provenance or the origin of our professionals. One of our female Partners appointed as “Diversity and Inclusiveness Leader” in recent months exemplifies this reality”, added Alain Kinsch.
“Our award as the world’s most attractive professional services employer in the world in the 2016 Universum’s World’s Most Attractive Employer ranking perfectly reflects the strength and attractiveness of our brand and firm worldwide. Our commitment to offer a work environment conducive to the development and fulfillment of our professionals, which also benefits the whole community, demonstrates that when we write Building a Better Working World in our logo, we mean it and we live it”, concluded Alain Kinsch.
