As reported in Silicon Luxembourg, iNUI Studio, a Luxembourg-based software company, has raised €1.5 million, backed by CK Group, to launch SkaLink, a live video customer support solution.
Combining hardware and software, SkaLink is said to optimise efficiency and reintroduce a human touch to digital customer service. Previously focused on its AIRxTOUCH contactless screens, adopted by numerous businesses, iNUI Studio is now focussing on software innovation.
Recognising the challenges in hardware scalability the company developed SkaLink, a cloud-based video support solution designed for businesses of all sizes. To accelerate SkaLink’s rollout across Luxembourg and Europe, iNUI Studio has secured €1.5 million in funding, mainly from CK Group, with additional support from Luxembourg’s Ministry of the Economy.
Through their existing partnership involving iNUI Studio’s SaaS solutions, CK Group reportedly recognised SkaLink’s potential. CEO of CK Group, David Gray, stated: “SkaLink directly addresses a key business challenge, optimising customer relations. This partnership reinforces our commitment to digital transformation and local innovation.”
SkaLink consists of two main components: the Intercom, a dedicated touchscreen for live video calls, and the Pilot, an advanced software suite. Unlike traditional telephone support, SkaLink enables real-time visual diagnostics, reducing unnecessary service visits and operational costs. Its software includes call distribution, queue management, video recording, screen sharing, remote control, and real-time analytics.
CEO of iNUI Studio, Olivier Raulot, asserted: “Our belief is simple. In urgent situations, customers prefer human interaction over chatbots.”
SkaLink has already demonstrated its potential through its collaboration with SNCF on a project established to address staff shortages in train stations. During a six-month trial at Montpellier LGV station (France) in 2024, it handled more than 2,000 video calls, achieving an 80.2% user satisfaction rate. After the success in France with SNCF and customer service providers Konecta and Concentrix, iNUI Studio is now scaling SkaLink across Europe.
