The Fit 4 Start programme today launched a call for candidates for the 10th edition of the national acceleration programme.

Launched in 2015 by the Ministry of the Economy, Fit 4 Start is the national reference programme for supporting early stage start-ups. Start-ups benefitting from the programme, established in Luxembourg or another country, including outside the EU, are selected twice a year.

Managed by Luxinnovation with support from the Ministry of the Economy, the Fit 4 Start programme has opened its latest call for candidates for national and international startups. The next edition of Fit 4 Start is aimed at young innovative companies active in the information and communication technologies sector (ICT) as well as the space technology sector.

Registrations can be made online up until 20 January 2020 at 12:00 via www.fit4start.com.

A pre-selection will be carried out on the basis of the applications received and candidates who are pre-selected will be notified on 3 February 2020.  The pre-selected startups then meet for a pitching session organised during the "Pitching and Graduation day", which will take place on 26 March 2020 in Luxembourg City. Ten ICT and five space technology start-ups will be selected by an international jury to take part in the 10th edition.

Fit 4 Start offers the 15 final startups a grant of €50,000, personalised and intensive coaching and free co-working space during four months at one of two incubator partners, Technoport and the Luxembourg City Incubator. The Ministry of the Economy awards an additional grant of €100,000 to startups which have successfully completed the programme and which have managed to raise at least €50,000 in private capital.
