On Friday 27 January 2025, the Luxembourg Confederation of Christian Trade Unions (LCGB) announced the recent signing of a new collective labour agreement for employees of Alcuilux Desox SA, where LCGB is the sole union represented.

Alcuilux Desox SA is a Luxembourg-based company specialising in the production of deoxidised aluminium in various forms, including pyramids, demi-spheres, dabs, pellets and ingots, according to the company’s website.

The collective agreement, signed on Friday 24 January 2025, will apply retroactively from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2027. This new agreement introduces several improvements, including:

- salary increases over three years;
- upward adjustment of the on-call allowance;
- upward adjustment of the team leader's allowance.

The other provisions of the collective labour agreement remain unchanged. According to LCGB, the agreement represents an improvement of the working conditions of the 40 employees of Alcuilux Desox SA “amid this unpredictable economic context”.
