On Tuesday 21 January 2025, Luxembourg’s LCGB trade union announced the first collective agreement signed for the 131 employees of Colruyt stores in Luxembourg.

LCGB confirmed in a press release that, as the only trade union represented in the Colruyt company and after several months of negotiations, the agreement was signed together with the Colruyt management.

The agreement, which will apply from Saturday 1 February 2025 to Wednesday 31 December 2027, provides for the following improvements in particular:

- introduction of increased pay for night work;
- introduction of Sunday work: four hours of Sunday work with a possible extension of four hours on a voluntary basis;
- increase in the salary for Sunday work of 80% (i.e. 10% higher than the legal minimum);
- additional days off depending on seniority in the company.

LCGB added that discussions around the new collective agreement took place in a “constructive spirit” and welcomed the agreement reached, which they described as “a clear expression of thanks and commitment” to employees throughout recent years.
