On Thursday 28 November 2024, the LCGB trade union announced that it had recently signed a renewal of the collective labour agreement with Luxport SA.
The LCGB together with Mertert-based port operating company, Luxport SA have renewed this agreement for a period of 30 months, i.e. from 1 July 2024 to 31 December 2026.
This new collective agreement provides for the following improvements in particular:
- introduction of profit sharing for employees, which will be paid each year based on the company's results;
- improvement and monthly payment of the attendance and safety bonus, introduced in 2022.
The LCGB said it "welcomes this positive result, which is in line with the ongoing improvements in the working and salary conditions" of Luxport SA's employees.
