At the end of his term, Raymond Schadeck informed the board that he did not wish to run again as Chairman. Since his arrival in 2012, he has helped set up a new and effective organisational structure, together with Jean-Paul Schuler, who was appointed CEO in September 2013 and who also has decided to leave his position as CEO from 1 April 2018.
Raymond Schadeck chaired Luxinnovation for six years. He had succeeded Marco Walentiny (Ministry of Economy). "I thank the entire Luxinnovation team for their unfailing support and my best wishes for success to the new management team. I am proud that the agency has moved in such a positive direction during my tenure as Chairman of the Board and I am convinced that this provides a solid basis for further boosting innovation in Luxembourg in the years to come" he stated.
The Presidency of the Management Board of Luxinnovation has been entrusted to Mario Grotz, First Government Counselor at the Ministry of the Economy. Head of the Research, Intellectual Property and New Technologies Department of the Ministry of the Economy since 2012, Mario Grotz sits on the Board of Directors of several entities, including Creos Luxembourg SA, of which he is Chairman.
The successor of Jean-Paul Schuler will be appointed in the coming weeks.
