On Tuesday 16 September 2025, the Luxembourg Commercial Internet Exchange Association (LU-CIX) announced that WEDOS has joined as a new Platinum member.
According to LU-CIX, WEDOS is a fully European company with its group headquarters in Luxembourg, operating one of the largest global Anycast infrastructures built entirely on self-owned hardware. With development and technical teams spread across the EU, WEDOS delivers high-performance, secure infrastructure solutions for critical digital services.
WEDOS serves more than 380,000 customers worldwide, including governments, financial institutions, universities and major online platforms. The company, noted LU-CIX, manages over 415,000 domains through its secure DNS ecosystem and processes billions of daily requests each day. Its infrastructure is fully operated within the European Union and designed to ensure compliance with GDPR, NIS2, DORA and SOC 2, supporting data sovereignty and regulatory alignment for critical digital services.
Michel Lanners, CIO of LU-CIX GIE, stated: “With WEDOS, we are delighted to welcome another actor in the anti-DDoS space on LU-CIX. In the worsening geopolitical climate, DDoS attacks are a growing risk for every Internet-connected entity. Connecting to an Internet Exchange like LU-CIX is one way to reduce this risk, and contracting commercial anti-DDoS services is another way that any entity should seriously consider.” He added that “having more choice in such services is a welcome addition to the Luxembourg ICT ecosystem.”
Merle Kukys, Manager Gérant of WEDOS Sàrl, commented: “Joining LU-CIX is an important step in our mission to provide trusted and sovereign digital infrastructure within Europe. We’re proud to be part of the Luxembourg ICT ecosystem and look forward to contributing our expertise in DDoS protection and DNS.”
