Tornado Luxembourg will go up against Lions Wasquehal at the Kockelscheuer ice rink on Saturday 25 January 2025.
Tornado Luxembourg has started 2025 with two wins in the Group A Division 2 of the French Ice Hockey Championship (FFHG) and is looking to secure another victory on Saturday.
Following their recent away win against Orleans on Saturday 18 January 2025, Christer Eriksson’s team has accumulated 17 points, moving within one point of sixth place and two points of fifth place in the standings. Tornado’s record currently stands at four wins and six losses.
Their next match at the Kockelscheuer ice rink in Luxembourg will see them face Lions Wasquehal, who sit in eighth place and have lost their last four games. The previous encounter between the two teams in November 2024 in Wasquehal ended in a Tornado victory. The game was tied 4-4 at the end of regulation time, but Tornado secured the win in the shootout.
With five games remaining in the regular season of Group A Division 2 of the FFHG, a win would strengthen Christer Eriksson’s team’s position ahead of the playoffs.
