The Luxembourg Football Federation (FLF) has announced a 23-player squad for the opening Group C qualification matches of the 2027 UEFA European Under-21 Championship with the U21 Red Lions set to face France away on Friday 5 September 2025 before hosting the Faroe Islands on Tuesday 9 September 2025.

Head coach Mario Mutsch has called up goalkeepers Joao Alves Margato (Progrès Niederkorn), Fabian Heck (1. FC Kaiserslautern, Germany) and Ben Schmit (SV Eintracht Trier 05, Germany).

Among the defenders are Massimo Agostinelli (FC Ingolstadt, Germany), Christophe Andrade Brites (AS La Jeunesse d’Esch/Alzette), Miguel Fernandes (FC 08 Homburg, Germany), Sofiane Ikene (Rot-Weiß Erfurt, Germany), Clayton Irigoyen (FV Illertissen, Germany), Jose da Silva dos Paciencia Aston (PSV Eindhoven, Netherlands), Fabio Lohei (SV Eintracht Trier 05, Germany) and Yohann Torres (FC Rodange 91).

Midfield options include Rayan Berberi (Olympic Charleroi, Belgium), Enzo De Pina Duarte Dos Santos (Borussia Dortmund, Germany), Ivan Englaro (F91 Dudelange), Tim Flick (AS La Jeunesse d’Esch/Alzette), Roni Klisurica (AS La Jeunesse d’Esch/Alzette) and Diogo Monteiro de Oliveira (F91 Dudelange).

In attack, Mutsch has selected James Alves Rodrigues (Gil Vicente, Portugal), Fabio Domingos (Paris Saint-Germain, France), Diego Duarte (FC Metz, France), Leon Elshan (AS La Jeunesse d’Esch/Alzette), Flavjo Hoxha (Borussia Mönchengladbach, Germany) and Jayson Videira (1. FSV Mainz 05, Germany).

Matches are scheduled for Friday 5 at 18:30 in Lorient against France and for Tuesday at 19:30 at the Stade de la Frontière in Esch-sur-Alzette against the Faroe Islands.

In Group C, Luxembourg will also come up against Estonia, Iceland and Switzerland. The final tournament of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship will take place in 2027 in Serbia and Albania.
