On Tuesday 15 October 2024, Luxembourg's men's football team played their fourth match in the current UEFA Nations League 2024/25, League C Group C3, away to Belarus.

Following Saturday's away draw to Bulgaria, the Red Lions gained another away draw yesterday evening, with 1-1 the final scoreline. The match was played at the ZTE Aréna in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary.

The home team could have gone ahead in the eleventh minute, only for Valeri Gromyko to miss a penalty. With the game scoreless at half time, the home crowd were rewarded when Sergei Politevich scored the opening goal of the evening nine minutes after the restart, with the visitors equalising when Gerson Rodrigues scored eleven minutes from time.

Luxembourg had 62% possession and had fourteen attempts on goal, compared to Belarus' eleven. The referee, Atilla Karaoglan from Turkey, was kept busy, booking six Luxembourg players and three from Belarus.

With Northern Ireland gaining a convincing 5-0 win over Bulgaria at Windsor Park, they go top of the group, with Luxembourg still propping up the table, but with a second point in the bag.

Luxembourg's next game is on Friday 15 November 2024, at home to Bulgaria in the Stade de Luxembourg (kick-off at 20:45).

Luxembourg: Anthony Moris (GK), Dirk Carlson, Kevin d'Anzico, Seid Korac, Laurent Jans (c), Michael Pinto, Mathias Olesen, Leandro Barreiro, Gerson Rodrigues, Alessio Curci, Danel Sinani.
