The Luxembourg Sustainable Finance Initiative (LSFI) is marking its fifth anniversary in 2025, with a celebratory dinner held on Tuesday 7 October 2025.

LSFI noted that Luxembourg's Finance Minister Gilles Roth delivered remarks to mark the milestone, highlighting awareness-raising and the resilience of sustainable finance. According to LSFI, achievements since 2020 include:

  • expanding upskilling via masterclasses and a September summit attended by 400+ participants per session;
  • building a public Resource Hub (training, EU rules, networks, frameworks, standards and 110+ open-source data platforms);
  • co-facilitating the LHoFT Catapult Green Fintech programme (sponsored by the Ministry of Finance);
  • coordinating the Luxembourg Women in Finance Charter, now with 85+ signatories;
  • keeping the community informed via newsletter/website/social media (a combined 13,000+ followers);
  • publishing an annual Sustainable Finance Study since 2022;
  • supporting projects to improve ESG data handling, including an LSFI contribution to an LHoFT–University of Luxembourg SnT partnership on AI-enabled data standardisation and accessibility.

“We remain committed to helping the financial sector build expertise and to exploring innovative financing instruments to drive investment for a sustainable, just and resilient economy,” said Nicoletta Centofanti, CEO of LSFI. She added that LSFI “thanks its founders, board, stakeholders, partners and employees for their continued support.”
