(2020); Last Christmas (2019); Ordinary People (2009); Advokado (TV series, 2021)).

Set in the 1980s in Yugoslavia which is still under the rule of Tito and communism.

Stefan (Jovan Ginic) lives with his mother, Marklena (Jasna Djuricic), who is a spokesperson for the ruling (communist) party. Elections have just been held but the newspaper run has been halted mid-print which would have shown the opposition party had won; however, the government line was of electoral fraud and a third round of ballots to be held.

In school, Stefan's teacher (Boris Isakovic) notices that his studies have fallen behind from what had traditionally been the level of an "A" student. Stefan starts to be ostracised by his friends and their parents who support the opposition, with many protesting against the escalation of clampdowns.

Stefan tries to talk to his mother about what is happening, but either he cannot find the words or she will not talk about her work. Together they attend his grandfather's birthday party but he cannot take the disagreements around the dinner table.

Meanwhile, he notices a girl at school, and she is involved with the protesters.

A well-made drama about real people whose families are caught up in the political strife as the political system around them radically unfolds.

A Serbia-France-Croatia-Luxembourg co-production with Red Lion Sarl and the support of Film Fund Luxembourg.
