Co-produced by France, India, Luxembourg and the Netherlands, the film won the Grand Prix at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. It also won the Best Film award at the San Sebastián International Film Festival and has been screened at festivals in Toronto, London and Rotterdam.

These two new nominations bring the total number of Luxembourg nominations for the Golden Globes to twelve.

The film, released in September in Luxembourg cinemas, tells the story of three women from diverse backgrounds in Mumbai. It explores the themes of friendship, solidarity and female resilience.

Anu, her young roommate, struggles to find a space to live out her forbidden love, while Parvaty, an elderly widow, faces eviction from her home by developers. Their destinies intersect on a journey out of the city, where they find a space to express their aspirations and resist societal oppressions.
