The Brandbau (Prabbeli) cultural centre in Wiltz is set to host the second edition of the Jazzorwhatever!? music festival from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 April 2025.

This year's festival programme, under the direction of Marc Scheer together with co-curators John Wolter and Mateus Wojda, "resembles a musical journey in which jazz seamlessly merges with classical melodies, fuses with contemporary beats and explores the dynamic spheres of electronic soundscapes".

According to the organisers, one of the highlights this year is a lunch with live jazz featuring the Eran Har Even Trio from Amsterdam at Restaurant Beim Schlass - described as "a perfect blend of culinary and musical artistry".

On Friday 4 April at 19:00 (doors open at 18:30), the programme will kick off with a performance by A Hologram Maze, a band led by pianist and composer David Austin Grey. Next, Reis Demuth Wiltgen, composed of Luxembourg jazz musicians - pianist Michel Reis, bassist Marc Demuth, and drummer Paul Wiltgen - will take the stage. The evening will conclude with the quartet Beluga, featuring musicians from Belgium and Luxembourg. This project, led by Jérôme Klein, brings together Stéphane Galland, a "leading figure" in Belgian jazz, Louise van den Heuvel, bassist with Dishwasher_ and founder of Sonic Hug, and Daniel Migliosi, a "prolific" young trumpeter.

On Saturday 5 April from 18:00 (doors open at 17:00), Dutch saxophonist and composer Kika Sprangers will take the stage, showcasing a musical style that "balances vulnerability and strength" in contemporary jazz. Next up is Louise van den Heuvel (Sonic Hug), a Dutch bassist and composer "known for blending modern music technologies and effect pedals in her compositions rooted in the contemporary electronic/jazz scene". Next, Àbáse, led by Hungarian producer and keyboardist Szabolcs Bognár, will present a unique fusion of jazz, West African, Brazilian, hip-hop and electronic music. The French jazz group Emile Londonien will take the stage to present their second album, Inwards. Brussels drummer and producer Antoine Pierre will close the day with his solo project VAAGUE, blending acoustic and electronic sounds.

On Sunday 6 April at 12:00, festivalgoers can enjoy lunch with live jazz featuring the Eran Har Even Trio from Amsterdam at Restaurant Beim Schlass.

Presale tickets cost €25 for 4 April, €30 for 5 April and €85 for 6 April. A presale two-day ticket costs €47, including additional taxes. More information can be found at www.prabbeli.lu.
