With the launch of “Fro däi Coiffeur” (ask your hairdresser), the Ëmweltberodung Lëtzebuerg (EBL) has planned to introduce playful environmental awareness into hairdressers.
This initiative aims to integrate environmental subjects in an unexpected setting. By offering twelve thematic cards encouraging captivating discussions, the project has light humour and unprecedented accessibility, inviting everyone to discuss ecological issues in a relaxed and engaging manner.
According to a study, most people trust their hairdresser more than their doctor. This is why the EBL decided to include its niche project within the framework of hairdressers. This unique project aims to broaden the circle of ecological debates to a larger and more diverse audience. With this initiative, relaxation spaces conducive to exchanges could become new areas of ecological awareness, EBL noted.
The concept is based on twelve illustrated cards on different themes, such as overconsumption, the climate or even nighttime light pollution. These cards will be made available to hairdressers to initiate informal and informative conversations during regular appointments with their clients. The latter will be able to get involved and discover new environmental facts. The project aims to encourage collective awareness of the importance of more sustainable practices within Luxembourg society.
“Integrating ecology into our daily lives would be a good resolution for everyone to make in 2024,” said the head of the project launched by Emwëltberodung Lëtzebuerg. This project intends to invite everyone to commit to a greener future.
