On Wednesday 16 April 2025, the Embassy of Japan in Luxembourg announced that the application process for university and postgraduate scholarships for Luxembourgish nationals wishing to study in Japan is now open.
The scholarships, which will begin from April 2026, are offered by Tthe Japanese Ministry of Education, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).
The closing date for applications is Friday 6 June 2025. The written exams and interview will be held in person at the Embassy of Japan in Luxembourg on one or two days between Monday 23 June and Tuesday 15 July 2025. These are mandatory to attend.
