Luxembourg’s Ministry of Education, Children and Youth has announced that the 2026 edition of the Children’s Festival will take place on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May 2026 at the Neumünster Abbey in Luxembourg-Grund.

The festival, which is organised annually by the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth will offer more that 60 workshops across 24 exhibition stands for children up to twelve years and their families. In 2025, the event welcomed more than 13,500 visitors over two days.

The activities will highlight the role of non-formal education provided through childcare and educational structures in Luxembourg, including crèches, maisons relais, school childcare centres, mini-crèches and childminders.

According to the ministry, the activities aim to show how non-formal education helps children discover and better understand the world around them, interact with their environment and feel involved, included and protected.

Taking place from 10:00 to 18:00 on Saturday and from 10:00 to 17:00 on Sunday, the 2026 edition will introduce mini-conferences for parents in French, Luxembourgish and English, accompanied by activities for children. A rally, street interviews and a quiz will also form part of the programme.

The ministry noted that Claude Meisch, Luxembourg’s Minister of Education, Children and Youth, is expected to visit the festival on Sunday 31 May at around 13:00.
