As of today, the persons concerned, i.e. freelance / independents can now apply for the emergency assistance of €2,500 on the basis of the Grand-Ducal Regulation of 8 April 2020, the purpose of which is to establish an emergency allowance certified for self-employed people in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As announced last week, the granting of this aid is subject to several conditions. The applicant must thus encounter temporary financial difficulties due to the consequences of COVID-19, employ less than 10 people and their professional income serving as a basis for calculating social contributions must not exceed the amount of two and a half times the minimum social wage.
