On Monday 8 December 2025, Luxembourg’s Ministry of Culture launched a call for projects for “cultural cafés” offering year-round cultural programming.

Following earlier editions in 2020 and 2021, this is the third call for projects for funding which aims to support small and medium-sized venues, focusing on regular cultural programming. The aid is designed to help to cover costs related to organising and presenting artistic and cultural programmes in these spaces.

Through this measure, the ministry said it seeks to contribute to maintaining and diversifying the cultural offer in the country by supporting operators of independent small and medium-sized venues in developing their activities while meeting professional obligations related to hosting artists and the public.

The ministry noted that cultural cafés often serve as emblematic venues within the cultural scene and provide simple, intergenerational and intercultural access to culture.

The deadline for submitting applications is Tuesday 16 December 2025. Further details are available on the website of the Ministry of Culture.
