On Wednesday 14 May 2025, Luxembourg's Ministry of Culture announced the launch of its project support scheme for museums and cultural sites linked to tourism.
The aim is to revitalise and improve Luxembourg's museum offering through specific heritage promotion initiatives. Specifically, this aid scheme is intended to contribute to the financing of various conceptual studies, projects for the partial or total redesign or creation of museographic displays, as well as museographic initiatives carried out within the framework of temporary exhibitions that strengthen the cultural attractiveness of the region's territories and promote the appropriation of cultural heritage, with the aim of increasing access to culture.
With this aid scheme, the Ministry of Culture said it is directly supporting Luxembourg's cultural institutions by enriching and diversifying their programming, facilitating access to their collections and increasing their visibility. By making culture more accessible to all, this initiative promotes inclusion and education. It also reportedly contributes indirectly to employment in the cultural sector by supporting museographers, artists and the creative industry.
The terms and criteria for this call for proposals are available on the Ministry of Culture's website.
