Deloitte Foundation Launches in Luxembourg

On Wednesday 21 June 2023, Deloitte Luxembourg announced the establishment of the Deloitte Foundation, a philanthropic organisation dedicated to creating a meaningful and enduring impact on society through long-lasting partnerships, innovative programmes and targeted action.

From advocating equality and inclusion to promoting education and environmental sustainability, the Deloitte Foundation will lead and support projects and initiatives in collaboration with non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and associations based in Luxembourg and the Greater Region.

Deloitte Luxembourg noted its "deep-rooted commitment" to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and described the launch of the Deloitte Foundation, as an independent entity, as a significant milestone in the firm's journey to "give back" and help improve society "in one collective and influential mission".

As a purpose-led organisation, Deloitte Luxembourg demonstrates its commitment to be a responsible corporate citizen that actively endeavours to make a meaningful impact in the community where it is rooted and beyond," said John Psaila, CEO and Managing Partner at Deloitte Luxembourg and President of the Deloitte Foundation. "Through the Deloitte Foundation, we make purpose meet impact, so we can leave a more sustainable and prosperous future for the next generation."  

The Deloitte Foundation will focus on key areas aligned with its core values, including: health and wellbeing; education and talent; diversity, equity and inclusion; sustainable communities; climate action. It intends to strengthen existing partnerships and build new ones with NGOs, community leaders and subject matter experts to maximise the impact of its programmes. By leveraging its dedicated resources and recognising the potential that lies within its diverse and talented staff, the Deloitte Foundation is poised to make "a measurable difference", in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), according to Deloitte Luxembourg.
