On Tuesday, 23 companies received the label "Entreprise Socialement Responsable” (socially responsible enterprise) from the INDR (national institute for sustainability and social responsibility) at an official award ceremony at the Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.
On the occasion of this ceremony, the INDR officially awarded its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) label to 23 companies that have successfully met the criteria of the labelling process. This included nine newly labelled companies as well as the renewal of the label for fourteen companies (after an initial certification period of three years). In total, Luxembourg is home to almost 160 such companies to date. The label is proof that these businesses actively contribute to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through their CSR policies.
In his welcome speech, the new President of the INDR and the UEL (union for Luxembourg businesses), Nicolas Buck, congratulated the companies who decided to undertake this accountability process. He also announced the publication of the new CSR Guide later this year and an online English version.
Similarly, Luxembourg Minister of the Environment, Climate and Sustainable Development, Carole Dieschbourg, congratulated these companies for their commitment to sustainable development. She also presented the new Luxembourg 2030 programme.
Companies with this label have understood the benefits of CSR, which is considered an opportunity for every company to improve its governance, strengthen its societal commitment and limit its environmental impacts. The company ensures its own sustainability while contributing to sustainable development.

Coming from local forests, the wooden base has been worked by people in the process of integration of the cooperative co-worked. The glass was engraved in Luxembourg and the label printed on biodegradable transparent film.
