On Saturday 8 October 2016, the head of the post-therapeutic centre in Schoenfels, Tania Draut, had the pleasure of accepting a donation from the municipality of Esch-sur-Sûre on behalf of Stëmm vun der Strooss.
Representatives of the integration commission and members of the town council welcomed Ms Draut at the ‘Aal Schoul Esch-Sauer’ for this special occasion. Following on from humanitarian efforts of previous years, during which the municipality supported various national and international organisations, and upon suggestion from the integration commission, council members from Esch decided to award €4,000 to Stëmm vun der Strooss, the charity that supports people that are vulnerable and homeless.
During the cheque handover ceremony, Ms Draut presented the different services of the Stëmm and explained that the donation will be used to sponsor the Stëmm’s annual Christmas party. The celebrations will take place on Thursday 22 December this year and welcome about 350 underprivileged persons.
