Over the past four years, the ING solidarity awards have become a key event in the Luxembourg calendar; this year, ING Luxembourg will be holding the fifth edition of the awards, which were the first initiative of their kind in the Grand Duchy when they were launched in 2012, in accordance with its active policy in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

All non-profit associations and foundations incorporated and established in Luxembourg are now invited to submit their applications, with a deadline of 10 October 2016.

As in previous editions, ING's aim is to reward and support Luxembourg associations through a 2-part competition:

(1) Online voting (40 x €1,000): Associations are invited to sign up on the ING Luxembourg website (www.ing.lu/solidarityawards). The 40 associations receiving the most votes from Internet users between 18 October 2016 and noon on 6 November 2016 will be each rewarded with a cheque worth €1,000.

(2) Projects selected by a panel (4 x €6,000, plus 4 x €3,000)

Associations taking part also have the possibility to put forward a project by sending their applications to ING before midnight on 10 October 2015 by following the same procedure as for the online voting competition. At the end of that procedure, the projects put forward will be submitted to the panel for the vote.

The projects will be ranked in four categories and at the end, eight of them will be chosen and rewarded by the ING Solidarity Awards panel based on their value, impact, originality and methodology.

The four categories:

- “National Projects from 100% voluntary associations”

- “National Projects from partly voluntary associations”

- “International Projects from 100% voluntary associations”

- “International Projects from partly voluntary associations”

For each category, two projects will be rewarded by the Panel: 1st prize €6,000 and 2nd prize €3,000.

The ING Solidarity Awards 2015 ceremony will take place on 15 November at 19:00 at Forum Geesseknäppchen in Luxembourg-Merl.

Colette Dierick, CEO of ING Luxembourg encourages all associations in the Grand Duchy to submit their candidacy now: "Five years already! I'm particularly happy and proud to be celebrating the anniversary of this wonderful project, the ING Solidarity Awards! I would like to invite all associations in the Grand Duchy to sign up for the 2016 edition now!"
