From now and until Monday 5 September 2016, The Europa Donna organisation will be collecting pink shoes to raise awareness of breast cancer.
Europa Donna will be introducing the awareness event Pink Shoe Day to Luxembourg, in association with Haus Leben e.V. Leipzig in Germany. The aim is to collect 450 pairs of pink/rose/purple shoes – that is one pair of shoes for every woman diagnosed with breast cancer each year in Luxembourg. Shoes that are not pink initially are also accepted – Europa Donna will either paint them on behalf of donors, or donors can paint them themselves.
The organisation encourages shoe donors to spread the word and to pass on this information in order to collect as many pairs of shoes as possible. The addresses of the collection points are as follows:

The collected shoes will be displayed on three different occasions and in two different locations:
