On Tuesday 12 July 2016, the organizers of the Economy Day (Journée de l’Economie) presented a cheque for €7,140 to Martin Guerin, CEO of nyuko; this amount comes from the proceeds of participation in the economic conference held on 25 February about the "Investing in talent 'theme.

The ceremony was attended by Serge Allegrezza, director of the Observatory of Competitiveness, François Mousel, partner at PwC Luxembourg, and René Winkin, secretary general of the FEDIL-Business Federation Luxembourg.

Since its first edition ten years ago, the cost of participation in the Economy Day are donated to an organisation promoting entrepreneurship in Luxembourg. This year, the organisers of this event, namely the Ministry of Economy, the Chamber of Commerce of Luxembourg and FEDIL - Business Federation Luxembourg, in collaboration with PwC Luxembourg, reaffirmed their support and commitment by presenting nyuko with the proceeds from the event.

"If the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Luxembourg enjoys a fertile ground, it owes it to the determined action of entities such as nyuko" said François Mousel, partner at PwC Luxembourg and co-organiser of the event.

Through its support programmes, nyuko covers four basic stages in the life of an entrepreneur: entrepreneurship awareness, shaping the idea, creating the structure and course until the first customer. The project sponsors receive personalised support, feedback from community experts, training tailored to each step, and the benefits of the nyuko ecosystem: coworking space, free workshops, meetings with other entrepreneurs, opportunity to work with large companies, etc.

The programmes cover three broad categories of start-up: the innovative sector, social enterprises, and traditional projects. They have been designed in coordination with the entire entrepreneurial ecosystem in Luxembourg and aim at a better boost of the sector, more job creation and more economic and social impact.

"This cheque will allow us to finance part of the boosting of our support programmes that will be launched in September. We thank the organisers of the Economy Day and its partners for thinking of us and contribute to the emergence of new start-ups," said Martin Guerin, CEO of nyuko.
