Luxembourg Comedy, Joe Eagan Comedy Productions and InternationalComedians.com have announced that the next edition of their English-language comedy showcase will take place at the Marionnette (15 Rue de Strasbourg) in Luxembourg-Gare on Thursday 13 October 2022 at 20:00.
Headliners Dave "Tinky Winky" Thompson (England) and Alan Francis (Scotland) will take the stage for this English-language show, hosted by MC Joe Eagan (Canada).
Dave Thompson has performed comedy for over 20 years in places like Ireland, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Monte Carlo. His credits include "Harry Hill's TV Burp" and "The Sketch Show". Dave is best known as the person inside the Tinky Winky costume on the British children's TV series "Teletubbies". He considers his greatest achievement to be his novel The Sex Life of a Comedian, of which copies will be on sale during this upcoming comedy show.
After winning Channel 4's "So you Think You're Funny" at the 1991 Edinburgh Festival, Alan Francis been a regular on British and international stages and has done TV stand-up a number of times. His TV credits include "Mid Morning Matters" with Alan Partridge, "The BBC Stand-Up Show" and "The Alan Davies Show". Alan's also been in the dramas "Between the Lines" and "Taggart" and performed theatre in the West End, at the Royal Court and the National Theatre of Scotland. His show "Inside Alan Francis" aired on Radio 4 during lockdown.
