InternationalComedians.com has announced that the next Luxembourg Comedy Showcase will take place on Saturday 15 March 2019 at 21:15 at the Marionnette (15 rue de Strasbourg, Luxembourg-gare).
The popular Luxembourg Comedy Showcase is returning with more stand-up comedy acts coming to perform in Luxembourg in English. This show welcomes headline acts Laura Lexx (UK) and Sol Bernstein (Israel).
Sol Bernstein (USA) - Sol has performed 2 solo show's. "ALMOST ALIVE" at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2003 winning a "Spirit of the Fringe award", and "ALMOST ALIVE 11" in 2004. " One part Alf Garnett, two parts Mel Brooks, and three parts like nothing you've ever heard" The Guardian. "An instantly winning creation" Evening Standard. "No age barrier to comic genius" Edinburgh Evening News. "Bernstein's the real deal, you'd better believe it" The Scotsman. He's performed all over the world at venues including The London Palladium, New York's Carnegie Hall, The Paris Olympia, Caesars Palace Las Vegas, and Scunthorpe Baths, but it's at night clubs where Sol really comes to life. His charisma, his style, his catch phrase "why don't you put on a tie" his chutzpah, put it all together and you see the magic that is Sol Bernstein.
Laura Lexx (UK) is an award-winning comedian and writer. Laura’s credits include Live At The Apollo (BBC Two), BBC At The Edinburgh Festivals (BBC Two), The Comedy Club (BBC Radio 4 Extra) and The Jason Manford Show (Absolute Radio). Following a critically-acclaimed run of her show Trying, Laura won Best Performer in the Comedian’s Choice Awards and was in the top 10 of Dave’s Funniest Joke of the Fringe at the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe. Laura won Best MC in the 2017 Comic’s Comic Awards and was nominated as Best Compere in the 2016, 2017 & 2018 Chortle Comedy Awards. She also reached the finals of the Amused Moose Comedy Award in 2016 & 2018. Laura has gigged at comedy clubs and festivals all over the UK and in Europe as well as providing tour support for Jason Manford, Tim Vine and Russell Kane.
Doors open 19:30 for those dining (some of the best pizza in town), and from 20:00 for those just to see the show which starts at 21:15.
