The British Ladies Club of Luxembourg (BLC) entertained local families with its annual children's Hallowe'en celebration on Saturday 19 October 2024 at the Bambësch forest playground in Luxembourg-Mühlenbach.

The event saw children, dressed as everything from witches to superheroes, embarking on a thrilling scavenger hunt through the playground. Hidden Hallowe'en surprises awaited discovery, adding an element of mystery and fun. Around 50 children, accompanied by their families, joined in the festivities, creating a lively and spirited atmosphere.

At the craft tables, young attendees had the chance to get hands-on, creating their own Hallowe'en masks, sparkly foam bats and colourful pumpkin sun catchers. Classic Hallowe'en games such as "ring toss on a giant spider" and "bean bag toss at a pumpkin target" kept the excitement going. One of the day's highlights was the sensory challenge, where children reached into a bowl of cold spaghetti, and pretended to search through bugs to uncover sweets. The day ended on a high note with each child leaving with a treat-filled goodie bag.

Reflecting on the event, Amy Walker, a BLC committee member, involved in coordinating Parents & Children's activities said: "Hallowe'en is always a highly anticipated event on the BLC's calendar. The kids' enthusiasm and creativity are truly inspiring, and it's wonderful to see families come together to celebrate in such a fun and festive way."

The British Ladies Club now turns its attention to the upcoming Children's Christmas Party on Saturday 14 December 2024, with ticket details to be shared soon. For more information, email: kids@blc.lu.
