The Indian community in Luxembourg is organising an India Day on Saturday 17 September on Place d'Armes in Luxembourg city centre between 09:00 and 18:00.
As part of its 25th anniversary celebration, the Indian Association Luxembourg (IAL), with the support of the Ville de Luxembourg, will use the occasion to showcase the country's creativity, culture and unity.
There will be various stalls with traditional costumes, handicrafts, photo exhibition, spices and snacks, henna, music, radio, “Make in India” and “Digital India” initiatives, as well as stands promoting Indian Tourism, Cinema, Performances, Games and more.
The bandstand on Place d’Armes will showcase live classical dance performances from the different regions of India.
Indian Association Luxembourg asbl (IAL) is a non-profit making cultural organisation incorporated in 1991; its mission is to enhance awareness of the rich heritage of India to our hosts and fellow communities in Luxembourg through various events celebrating the major festivals of India and music concerts throughout the year. Equally important, IAL strives to provide a platform for social interaction, encouraging understanding and acceptance of other cultures and values.
