In September, Pascal Schumacher announced his appearance on ÜberBach, a new release by composer Arash Safaian on Neue Meister, EDEL (DE); barely two months after this official release, the trio composed by Schumacher, Safain, who also plays synthesizer, and German pianist Sebastian Knauer, will perform this repertoire live on 6 November at the Drive Forum, Berlin (DE) and on 22 November at the Tonhalle, Zürich (CH).
Furthermore, they will be sharing the scene with two outstanding orchestras, the Deutsches Kammerorchester Berlin and the Zürich Chamber Orchestra, ZKO.
Another project that will keep Pascal busy during next months is Porgy and Bess revisited. Together with violinist Nicolas Dautricourt and double-bass player Knut Erik Sundquist, Schumacher will face this famous score by Gershwin reinterpreting it using their own musical experience, by mixing the written music with improvised sequences.
They will be performing this programme on 12 November at the Schloss Elmau, Elmau (DE), on 20 November at the Kulturhaus Niederanven (LU) and on 18 December in the framework of the Rencontres Musicales in Evian (FR).
