Luxembourg pianist Francesco Tristano will join the Orchestre National de Lille for three concerts at the city's Nouveau Siècle from 6-8 April 2016.
The orchestra, led by Domingo Hindoyan and featuring Tristano as soloist, will take the audience on a musical journey through the Americas. This will include Argentina with Ginastera and his "Estancia" and Chavez's Mexico with "Sinfonia India", amongst others.
In addition to these three concerts, Francesco Tristano will present a solo recital for a lunchtime concert on Friday 8 April 2016 at the Nouveau Siècle in Lille.
The classical and experimental pianist and composer was born in Luxembourg in 1981 and studied at conservatories in Luxembourg, Brussels, Riga and Paris before graduating in music at New York's Juilliard School.
