Luxembourg climber Liam Labrosse reaches the summit of Lagginhorn in Switzerland;

On Thursday 9 April 2026, Luxembourg climber Liam Labrosse reached the summit of Lagginhorn in Switzerland and dedicated his ascent to SOS Détresse under the slogan "Alone by choice – for those who aren’t".
The summit of Lagginhorn in southern Switzerland is located in the Pennine Alps near the Italian border and its peak reaches to over 4km (4,010m) above sea level.
In a press release, SOS Détresse, a helpline in Luxembourg offering confidential and anonymous support via telephone and online, congratulated Liam Labrosse and thanked him for drawing attention to those who suffer from loneliness.
The support helpline said: “No matter how heavy loneliness may feel, whether one feels at the top of a mountain or deep down in a valley, everyone is welcome to pick up the phone and reach out to SOS Détresse – no problem is too big or too small.”
