The Luxembourg-based non-profit organisation Stëmm vun der Strooss, which supports people experiencing homelessness and vulnerable individuals, has reported that it recently received a donation of €3,500 from the Municipality of Strassen.
The Municipality of Strassen presented the donation during an official ceremony held at the town hall on Friday 13 March 2026, in the presence of the Mayor of Strassen, Nico Pundel, members of the municipal council and Alexandra Oxacelay, Director of Stëmm vun der Strooss.
On this occasion, Alexandra Oxacelay highlighted the importance of such support: “Faced with increasing poverty and the observation that governments worldwide are failing to provide effective solutions to reduce it, every contribution counts. Without funding, even the best ideas remain in a drawer.”
According to Stëmm vun der Strooss, the donation will be used to support the activities of the Kanner Stëmm service, which assists children and families in vulnerable situations through a holistic and collaborative approach.
