The Luxembourg-based non-profit organisation Stëmm vun der Strooss, which supports people experiencing homelessness and vulnerable individuals, has reported that it recently received a donation of sleeping bags and clothing for people in need from representatives of the charitable association Metality e.V.
The donation marks the second consecutive year that Metality e.V. has supported Stëmm vun der Strooss.
Metality e.V., a network of metal music enthusiasts, has been organising the solidarity campaign “666 sleepingbags – 666 Schlafsäcke für the Outsiders outside” for several years.
According to Stëmm vun der Strooss, the sleeping bags will be distributed to people experiencing homelessness in Luxembourg.
On this occasion, Alexandra Oxacelay, Director of Stëmm vun der Strooss, thanked the members of Metality e.V. for their support and commitment.
Launched in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, the initiative has enabled the collection and purchase of more than 5,000 sleeping bags to date, including over 2,000 this year alone.
Founded in 2020, Metality e.V. brings together more than 4,500 members worldwide across 72 local chapters, including one in Luxembourg established in 2025.
