Languages.lu and Politics for all Asbl have announced they will host a dinner event on Wednesday 4 March 2026, at the St Jean Community Centre in Luxembourg-Belair, ahead of International Women’s Day on Sunday 8 March.
The event will take place from 17:30 to 22:00 and will focus on celebrating women’s contributions to society through community, solidarity and shared experiences.
Under the theme Give to Receive - Celebrating Women and Community, the organisers said the dinner will bring together a mix of well‑known and less‑visible women whose influence “aims to make the society better every day” and will include contributions from Romanian Ambassador to Luxembourg, Livia Rusu, alongside women entrepreneurs, volunteers, carers, creatives and community builders whose work often remains outside the public spotlight.
The evening will also feature a shared meal with Romanian culinary specialities. Participants can also take part in the educational game Who am I? - Inspiring Women, which aims to highlight female role models from Luxembourg and abroad in an interactive and accessible way.
Attendees will have the option to sponsor meals for refugee women and their children, enabling them to attend the celebration and take part in the event. Each participant will also receive a small goodie bag.
Tickets costs €40 for adults and €15 for children under twelve years old. The organisers stressed that spaces are limited to 100 participants and encourage early registration.
