On Thursday 4 December 2025, non-profit organisation SOS Villages d'Enfants Monde (SOSVEM) will host its 49th Gala Concert with the Luxembourg Philharmonic at Philharmonie Luxembourg in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.

SOSVEM have announced that the concert will feature young Dutch pianist Nikola Meeuwsen, winner of the 2025 Queen Elisabeth Competition, along with the Luxembourg Philharmonic conducted by Italian conductor Riccardo Minasi.

The evening will feature works by Sergei Prokofiev (Piano Concerto No. 2) and Ludwig van Beethoven (Symphony No. 6 “Pastoral”).

Proceeds from the evening will go to benefit children, young people and vulnerable families supported in Guinea, through development programmes focused on children’s and youth rights and youth employability. These initiatives are implemented in four regions/localities — Conakry, Kankan, Labé and N’Zérékoré — by SOS Villages d’Enfants in Guinea, which has been active in the country for 40 years.
