On Thursday 24 July 2025, Stëmm vun der Strooss announced that the Kiwanis Club Uelzechtdall has selected its Kanner Stëmm service as the beneficiary of its year-long fundraising campaign.

The club has committed to allocating a total of €10,000 over the course of the year to support children benefiting from the Kanner Stëmm programme. The funds will be used to concretely support activities implemented through the service.

The NGO noted that beyond financial support, members of the Kiwanis Club Uelzechtdall are also volunteering their time and efforts alongside the Kanner Stëmm service. Their involvement has already contributed to several initiatives, including distributing St. Nicholas gift bags at the Christmas celebration, helping to organise an Easter egg hunt, and enabling the distribution of shopping vouchers worth €6,000 (€50 each) for purchasing children’s clothing in shops in Luxembourg City and Ettelbruck. The club also donated winter shoes to address urgent needs among supported families.

On this occasion, Alexandra Oxacelay, Director of Stëmm vun der Strooss, expressed her gratitude to the Kiwanis Club for their continued support. She noted during the presentation of the Kanner Stëmm service: “Thanks to this donation, we will not only be able to distribute children's shoes free of charge to families in need, but also - hopefully before the end of the year - launch a project with clowns. I won’t say more for now…”

The Kanner Stëmm service supports families dealing with social, administrative or psychological challenges. According to the NGO, its multidisciplinary team provides personalised assistance to help meet children’s basic needs - including health, education, safety and nutrition - while also promoting their development through leisure and educational activities whenever possible.
