
On Wednesday 18 June 2025, Stëmm vun der Strooss reported that the Kiwanis Lëtzebuerg “Gëlle Fra” service club had presented five symbolic donation cheques of €5,000 each to five charitable organisations during a recent event at the Cercle Munster in Luxembourg-Grund.
The club donated to follows:
- Alupse asbl (Dr Roland Seligmann);
- Kannerstëmm (Alexandra Oxacelay);
- Kiwanis Popp (A. Nicola, S. Nickels, JM Moes)
- Uni.lu - Recherche sur les maladies infantiles rares (Prof Dr Carole Linster);
- Televia (Bern Altmann, Fondation Kiwanis).
"Our mission is to help children - locally and concretely. With these contributions, we want to specifically support projects that truly make a difference," said Rose Schaeffer, president of Kiwanis Lëtzebuerg “Gëlle Fra”, during the check handover.
Each invited organisation gave a short presentation on their respective work. Following the ceremony, guests and partners attended a reception, offering an opportunity to exchange ideas and explore future collaboration. The supported initiatives focus on areas such as psychosocial support, recreational activities and medical care for children facing challenging life circumstances.
"This support is more than just a financial contribution - it is a sign of trust and solidarity," said one of the representatives.
