UNICEF Luxembourg has announced that its charity event, the UNICEF City Run, will take place on Saturday 5 July 2025 in the Pétrusse Valley in Luxembourg-Grund (between the mini-golf course and the skate park), starting at 13:00.

According to the organisers, the UNICEF City Run aims to be inclusive, intergenerational and friendly: “Whether you run alone, with family, friends or colleagues, the most important thing is to participate together”. The route is made up of 1.2 km loops that are accessible to all levels. Each participant can progress at their own pace and choose the number of loops to complete. Adults can run alongside children and dogs are welcome.

Registration costs €20 and includes a free race t-shirt for each participant.

Participants and the general public are invited to “extend the experience in a festive atmosphere”, with live music, children's entertainment, food trucks, drinks and entertainment throughout the afternoon.

Each registration supports UNICEF's programmes in education, health, nutrition and child protection around the world.

UNICEF Luxembourg has also invited participants to create a personalised fundraising page on https://cityrun.events.unicef.lu, to share their personal commitment, set a fundraising goal, collect donations and track the contributions received in real time.
