On Tuesday 18 March 2025, SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde, an organisation dedicated to protecting and caring for the most vulnerable children worldwide, announced the latest financial support from the Park Inn by Radisson Luxembourg City.
According to the press release, for the past eight years, the hotel’s employees and guests have contributed to fundraising efforts and donations. From the start of its partnership with the Luxembourg-based non-profit organisation, the hotel has been dedicated to long-term involvement, including sponsorships for children, particularly Moussa, a child from the SOS Village in Kankan, Guinea.
A staff fundraising initiative recently raised €762, which will be allocated to the organisation’s projects. On Tuesday 4 March 2025, Anne Schweizer, Head of Partnerships at SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde, visited Park Inn by Radisson Luxembourg City at the invitation of Kevin Meerschman, General Manager, and Valentine di Domenico, HR and Administrative Assistant, for an informal meeting and a symbolic cheque presentation. On behalf of the Luxembourg organisation, which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, Anne Schweizer expressed gratitude to the hotel management, staff and guests for their continued support and engagement in improving the lives of vulnerable children, the statement noted.
During the meeting, Anne Schweizer highlighted the organisation’s 20 ongoing projects, particularly those focused on education. According to Ms Schweizer, education plays a crucial role in the pursuit of sustainable development. With five years remaining until the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals deadline, significant challenges persist in ensuring access to quality, inclusive and equitable education for all children, particularly girls. Education remains the most effective means of protection and support, enabling children to build their future and achieve their life goals, she concluded.
