Stëmm vun der Strooss, a local non-profit organisation which supports people experiencing homelessness and vulnerable members of society, has reported that it recently received a donation from POST Luxembourg.
On Wednesday 12 March 2025, POST Luxembourg presented a cheque to Stëmm vun der Strooss, with the funds raised through an initiative allowing employees to donate their end-of-year gift certificates to a local association supporting a social cause.
During an official ceremony at POST Luxembourg’s headquarters, Isabelle Faber, Head of the Communication & Public Relations department at POST Luxembourg, presented the cheque to Alexandra Oxacelay, Director of Stëmm vun der Strooss.
According to Stëmm vun der Strooss, “thanks to the generosity of employees”, who donated their gift certificates totalling €4,620, the non-profit organisation will be able to finance part of the equipment needed for its “Schweesdrëps” reintegration workshop in Sanem.
"The 46 people at Schweesdrëps ensure every week the cleaning of around 4,000 outfits worn by 40 Luxembourg sports clubs. To improve the working conditions of this team, new professional machines representing an investment of €70,000 will be acquired", explained Alexandra Oxacelay.
