The City of Luxembourg (VdL) has reported that a charity concert by the Luxembourg Military Band raised more than €8,000 for the local non-profit organisation Ile aux Clowns.
On Friday 28 February 2025, the VdL College of Mayor and Aldermen, together with representatives of the Luxembourg Army, the Luxembourg Military Band and the "Frënn vun der Militärmusek", presented a cheque for €8,518.91 to Ile aux Clowns, a team of clowns visiting patients in hospitals to offer them moments of joy, relief and a listening ear.
The sum was raised thanks to the charity concert organised on 29 January 2025 at the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg.
