On Monday 20 January 2025, the Board of Directors of the Luxembourg-based non-profit organisation, Hëllef um Terrain (HUT), announced the appointment of Philippe Schrantz as Managing Director of the association.

Mr Schrantz is scheduled to take up his duties on 1 March 2025 and will manage HUT together with Erica Monfardini, Administrative and Financial Director.

Mr Schrantz previously served as head of the Grand Ducal Police and as Director of Human Resources at the Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois (CFL), Luxembourg’s national railway company. In a press release, HUT reported that Philippe Schrantz will bring his extensive management experience within complex structures to the role, which will give the organisation the means to find its footing within the Luxembourg social ecosystem. HUT added that his commitment will enable the organisation to ensure and develop its mission of preventing and combatting all forms of human suffering, including insecurity, poverty and discrimination.

The Board of Directors stated that is very pleased to welcome Mr Schrantz, adding that “thanks to the quality of his human values, his talent and his experience, [he] will be able to lead HUT for the benefit of our employees, our beneficiaries, our volunteers and our donors.”
