The Bazar International de Luxembourg (International Bazaar) is set to return to Luxexpo The Box in Luxembourg-Kirchberg from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 November 2022.

This edition features a total of 57 stands (including a few non-countries, e.g. book stands, etc.). New stands, new products, new musical and dance performances and new volunteers characterise this year's event.

Among the new stands are Kenya, Colombia and Afghanistan, who will sell teas and coffees, typical foods like empanadas and handcrafted products. The Colombian stand also offers a "Kids' corner" where parents can relax while their children read, play and enjoy themselves.

Many of the stands have new products on offer. For instance, Ukraine has high-quality bed linens, "healthy" sweets and lollipops and comfortable bathrobes. The Australian stand is selling fragrances, whilst Peru has added new foods to their repertoire and the Azerbaijan stand is offering modern accessories based on traditional Azerbaijan art. A lot of the stands have also invited dancers and musicians to perform throughout the weekend, starting on Friday evening at 18:00.

On Sunday 13 November 2022, the "Kleeschen" (Saint Nicholas) will start this year's Kleeschen tour through Luxembourg at the International Bazaar between 12:00 and 14:00. Parents can take photos of their children with the Kleeschen and his intimidating companion, the Houseker, and they might receive a little surprise.

This edition of the International Bazaar also sees the addition of at least 90 new volunteers from PwC Luxembourg who are supporting the organisers in their endeavour to support this year's charities. By eating, drinking and shopping at this event, visitors over the weekend will allow the organisers to donate to the 43 charities (in 39 countries, including three humanitarian projects in Luxembourg) that they are supporting this year.

The projects are all geared towards fighting poverty throughout the world. The principal project this year is a medical centre in South Sudan, run by three nuns who are trained as midwives and a nurse with the assistance of a doctor and two nurses. Together they handle around 2,500 medical interventions per month.

The International Bazaar is open to the public on Friday 11 November from 18:00 to 22:00, Saturday 12 November from 11:00 to 19:00 and Sunday 13 November from 11:00 to 17:00. Entry is free.

The International Bazaar will take place in halls 7 and 8 at Luxexpo The Box. Visitors must enter via the south side of Luxexpo The Box (on Rue Carlo Hemmer, between Auchan and Luxexpo The Box).
