From Monday 14 March 2022, Caramba Cinemas will be screening a series of films on the history and culture of Ukraine; ticket proceeds will support the Ukrainian Red Cross Society's humanitarian efforts.
The first film in this series is Sergei Loznitsa's "Donbass" (Ukraine, 2018), which will be screened (in Ukrainian with French and English subtitles) at CineKursaal Rumelange on Monday 14 March at 20:15. "Donbass" was selected as the opening film in the "Un Certain Regard" section at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, where Sergei Loznitsa won the award for Best Director.
The film explores the mid-2010s conflict between Ukraine and the Russian-supported Donetsk People's Republic.
