Contern-based company TK Elevator recently donated €1,000 to Stëmm vun der Strooss ("voice of the street"), a Luxembourg non-profit organisation which supports homeless people and vulnerable members of society.

On Wednesday 15 December 2021, Stëmm vun der Strooss received a visit from Clément Wampach, Director of TK Elevator, a company which specialises in lifts, escalators and stairlifts. TK Elevator has been awarded the Entreprise RSE label for corporate social responsibility (CSR), has 43 employees and is based in Contern in southern Luxembourg.

For Clément Wampach, it was clear that his company wanted to contribute to the charity's biggest project to date: the new "Caddy 2" facility in Sanem, in south-western Luxembourg. Consequently, he presented a cheque for €1,000 to the management of Stëmm vun der Strooss, represented by Alexandra Oxacelay and Arnaud Watelet, communications officer Bob Ritz and Simon Pierrard.

This meeting was an opportunity for the non-profit to present in detail the project for which the donation will be used. The main objectives of "Caddy 2" are to recruit 40 additional people who will benefit from a professional reintegration measure and to process 500 tonnes of food that will be collected and redistributed free of charge as a result of Stëmm vun der Strooss' partnership with the Auchan hypermarket.

The meeting ended with a tour of the premises at 7 Rue de la Fonderie in Luxembourg-Hollerich, where the guest was introduced to the various activities of the non-profit.
