The owners of indoor football complex The Loft in Luxembourg-Strassen hosted a friendly match between their staff and customers of the charity Stëmm vun der Strooss.

The 7-a-side team from the customers of the Stëmm were people who originate from Morocco, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Romania, Cape Verde, France and Luxembourg. The 21 year-old Youssine and 48 year old Pedro said: "I haven't felt this good in a long time. I was a bit tired but happy to be on the synthetic football pitch."

Stëmm von der Strooss, a non-profit association, is co-ordinated by the Ministry of Health and works for the social and professional integration of disadvantaged people. The social charity caters to those who are homeless, unemployed, beneficiaries of the social minimum income, former prisoners, asylum seekers, migrants and people with drug-dependent issues.

The owners of the sports complex dressed up as Santa Claus for the occasion.

The match concluded with a score-line of "Stemm: 14 - The Loft: 19" and followed up with pizza enjoyed by the participants.
